Cookie policy

Last updated: 2 November 2026

This policy explains how Zemash Ltd uses cookies on zemash.com. We use as few as we can. Essential cookies always run. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them. We do not set any advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit it. They let a website remember things, such as your choices or that you are logged in. Some cookies are set by the website you are visiting. Others are set by another company whose technology the website uses. Similar technologies work in the same way, and when we say “cookies” in this policy we include them.

How we use cookies

The law that covers cookies in the UK is the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), together with the UK GDPR. We group our cookies into these categories:

  • Strictly necessary. These are needed for the website to work or to remember your cookie choice. The law lets us set them without asking for your consent.
  • Analytics. These help us count visitors and understand how the website is used, so that we can improve it. We set them only if you accept them.
  • Advertising. These are used to show you adverts or measure advertising. We do not use any at launch.

When you first visit, a banner asks you to Accept, Reject or open Choices. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to pass your choice to Google’s tags. Until you accept, those tags are set to deny analytics storage, so they do not set analytics cookies.

Cookies we use

Name Provider Purpose Duration Category
zm_consent Zemash Ltd (first party) Stores your cookie choice, so that we do not ask you again on every page. 12 months Strictly necessary
WordPress login cookies (names start with wordpress_logged_in_ and wordpress_sec_) Zemash Ltd (first party), using WordPress Keep our team signed in to the website’s admin area. They are not set for visitors who do not log in. Session (longer if a team member chooses to stay signed in) Strictly necessary
_ga Google Tells visitors apart, so that Google Analytics can count them and show us how the website is used. 2 years Analytics
_ga_<container id> Google Keeps track of a visit, so that Google Analytics can group your activity into sessions. The part after _ga_ is the identifier of our Google Analytics property. 2 years Analytics

Google’s script sets the two Google Analytics cookies on our own domain, but Google provides the technology, so we list Google as the provider. Google also acts as a controller for some of this data. You can read about how Google uses data in Google’s privacy policy.

Advertising cookies

We do not set advertising cookies at launch, and we do not use advertising pixels. If we add any in future, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before they are set.

Change or withdraw your consent

You can change your choice at any time. Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of any page. It reopens the banner, where you can accept, reject or choose which categories to allow. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

If you withdraw consent, we stop setting analytics cookies. Cookies that are already on your device stay there until they expire or you delete them. You can delete them in your browser settings.

Block or delete cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies. Look in your browser’s settings or help pages, usually under privacy or security. You can block all cookies or only some, and you can clear them whenever you like.

If you block strictly necessary cookies, the website may not remember your cookie choice, so the banner may appear again on each visit. Our team may also be unable to log in.

Google also offers a browser add on that stops Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits. You can find it at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Booking calendar

Our contact page has a booking calendar provided by Calendly. We do not load it until you choose to show it. When you do, Calendly may set its own cookies and receives your IP address and browser details. Those cookies belong to Calendly, not Zemash. You can read Calendly’s privacy notice. If you would rather not use it, email us to book a call instead.

Other websites

Our website links to other brands in our group and to other websites. They may set their own cookies, and this policy does not cover them. Please check the cookie policy on each site you visit.
