White label SEO for agencies

White label SEO for agencies means a partner does the SEO work and you sell it to your client under your own brand. You keep the client relationship and the reporting. Choose a partner on process, transparency and link practices, because a poor one can put your client’s rankings and your reputation at risk.

What is white label SEO for agencies?

White label SEO is SEO work done by a partner and delivered under your agency’s name. Your client deals with you. The partner stays in the background.

Agencies use it to add SEO to their offer without hiring a full team, or to add capacity when work peaks. The trade is that you depend on someone else’s quality and practices.

That dependence is the main risk. Google tells site owners they are ultimately responsible for the actions of any company they hire. Your client may look to you if something goes wrong.

How the model works

This is a typical pattern, not a public standard. The details differ between partners.

  1. Brief. You share the client’s goals, site access and any limits on what can be changed.
  2. Audit and plan. The partner reviews the site and proposes work. You review it before the client sees it.
  3. Delivery. The partner does the agreed work, such as technical fixes, content and links, and logs every change.
  4. Reporting. Reports are produced for you to present under your own brand.
  5. Review. You and the partner meet regularly to check progress and adjust.

Risks and how to manage them

Quality

You cannot see the work unless you ask. Insist on a change log, sample deliverables and access to the data. Google says third party SEO tools cannot guarantee performance.

They also lack Google’s internal ranking data. Treat claims to the contrary with caution.

Links

Google’s spam policies define link spam as creating links to or from a site primarily to manipulate rankings. They name buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges and automated link creation.

Google says sites that violate its policies may rank lower in results or not appear at all. Ask the partner in writing how it earns links and keep the right to stop any practice you do not accept.

Content

Google defines scaled content abuse as many pages generated for the primary purpose of manipulating search rankings. Do not accept bulk pages, whoever writes them, unless they help the reader.

Client data

Say you handle your client’s personal data and bring in a partner. The ICO says a processor should not engage another processor without the controller’s authorisation.

The first processor stays liable for the other’s compliance. Read the ICO list of contract terms.

The ICO also says you must choose a processor that provides sufficient guarantees about its security measures.

Client relationship

Decide who speaks to the client, who owns the accounts and what happens if you part ways with the partner. Put it in a written agreement.

How is white label SEO priced?

Typical pricing models are a monthly retainer per client, a price per project or deliverable, or a wholesale rate with your own margin added. These are common descriptions, not a published standard.

Compare the model before the number. Ask what is included, what is extra and what notice you need to give.

FAQ

White label SEO questions

A partner does the SEO work and you deliver it to your client under your own brand. You brief the partner, review the plan, receive the work and reports, and keep the client relationship.

It can be, if you choose carefully. The main risks are poor quality, link practices that break Google’s spam policies and weak data protection terms. Ask for a change log, written link practices and a contract.

Ask for examples and references, expected results and timing, and a log of changes. Ask how links and content are produced, who holds the accounts and how personal data is handled. The checklist above covers each point.

It depends on the contract and on how the partner handles confidentiality and client contact. Agree it in writing before work starts.

Partners use retainers, project prices or wholesale rates with your own margin. Compare the model, what is included and the notice period. Zemash pricing depends on scope, so book a 15 minute call or email contact@zemash.com.

Ask any partner for sample reports and check that you can present them under your own brand.
