The brief
Where the client started
At Home Care Ltd provides care at home across the UK, from light household support to live in care. Families need to understand the options and get in touch easily, and the old website made that hard.
The brief was a website that feels warm, works for older users and carers and brings every service together in one clear place.
- A dated, text heavy design
- Unclear navigation, especially for older users and carers
- No clear breakdown of services or dedicated pages
- Forms that were awkward and often failed
- A site that did not work well on phones and tablets
- Little warmth or trust, and no local search structure
What we did
How the work went
Consultation and discovery
We learned about the care services, audiences and preferred tone, reviewed competing care websites and built a sitemap that follows how people look for care.
Design and development
We designed mock ups with a soft, welcoming look and built a custom WordPress theme with attention to font size, contrast and accessibility.
Content structure
We created separate pages for personal care, companionship, overnight care and other services and optimised page titles and metadata for local search.
Testing and handover
We checked every device and screen size, installed tracking for ongoing insight and trained the team to update content and manage forms.
